The Portugal Investment Forum 2026 set out to offer something different from broad presentations and promotional sales pitches.
This nationwide debate across five locations gathered a select audience of institutional investors, business owners, entrepreneurs, internationally mobile families, family offices and selected industry, legal, media, government and investment professionals with a genuine interest in Portugal's future.
The focus was on informed discussion, expert insight and practical, real-world guidance. After each panel, guests put their questions directly to panellists, experts, stakeholders and fellow investors on the subjects that matter most: life, the economy, tax, residency and investment in Portugal.
These expert clinics are the practical heart of the Portugal Investment Forum, feeding into the post-event report with its analysis, actions and outputs. Places are limited by design, so VIP guests and investors can focus on the topics that matter most to them.

The Lagos leg of the Portugal Investment Forum 2026, held at the Cascade Wellness Resort on 1 October, opened the nationwide conversation. Its panels asked why entrepreneurs and value creators are choosing Portugal, how families should approach diversification, risk and long-term wealth, and how residency-by-investment and other inward investment dynamics are evolving.

The Quinta do Lago location of the Portugal Investment Forum 2026, held at the Conrad Algarve on 2 October, continued the nationwide conversation. Its panels asked how life, legacy and education shape investing in Portugal’s future, who is investing in the country and how the domestic view differs.

The Lisbon leg of the Portugal Investment Forum 2026, held at the Pestana Palace on 6 October, continued the nationwide conversation. Its panels asked how families and investors should structure a move to Portugal, what is driving the country’s future, and which metrics will define its next 10 years.

The Estoril location of the Portugal Investment Forum 2026, held at the Hotel Palácio on 7 October, continued the nationwide debate about Portugal’s investment future. Its panel of expert speakers asked how Portugal’s luxury market are evolving and creating their own point of difference, what heritage, philanthropy and impact mean for investors, and how the country is and should be incentivising the people and investors who create value.

The Porto leg of the Portugal Investment Forum 2026, held at The Yeatman on 9 October, closed the event. The panels discussed where Portugal’s next phase of growth will come from, and who will feel the benefit, against a strong economic story. Sílvia Mota, CEO at MEXT, chairwoman and CEO at Emerge and co-founder of Moon Capital, part of the Mota-Engil group operating in 23 countries, argued that Portugal still thinks small and needs to tell its story better.
